About me

Hey, my name is David Jones (Davey Jones if you’d like). I’ve been playing banjo for 27 years, more than 20 of which have been on a professional level. I’m a founding member of the Southeast Michigan indie band Frontier Ruckus, with whom I’ve played over a thousand shows across the U.S and Europe.

As incredible as touring and performing can be, I have a huge passion for teaching banjo too. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced player, it’s important to me to show you that banjo is not just a bluegrass instrument, but an incredibly versatile conduit to EVERY type of music.
